Clayton Lions Club Jetski Poker Run

The second annual Clayton Lions Club Jetski Poker Run will be held on July 16, 2011. The event is a fundraiser to support the Lions Club’s child eye disease detection program and other community projects.

The poker run is held in Clayton, New York on the majestic St. Lawrence River. This year it will be hosted at the world famous Antique Boat Museum at 270 Mary Street in Clayton. The event is sponsored by Caprara Brothers Honda of Watertown. Co-sponsors are Watertown Savings Bank, Community Savings Bank NA, the Clipper Inn of Clayton and Mild to Wild Automotive LLC of Orange, Connecticut.

The run is comprised of five card pick-up points stretched over the 35 to 40 mile course on the St. Lawrence. People may register in advance to ensure a spot by sending a completed registration form and a check payable to
Clayton Lions Club, Attn: John Davis, 41431 Kehoe Tract Rd., Clayton, NY 13624. You may print a registration form by clicking on the appropriate tab at the top of this page, and then printing it. Registration forms can be filled out the day of the event for early registrants. The price to participate is $30.00. There will door prizes awarded to lucky participants at the end of the event. Raffle tickets and an auction for concert tickets are expected. There will be food and beverages available for purchase in the river shed on the Antique Boat Museum grounds. An added event this year will be a cash award for those persons who bring in the three oldest jetskis for exhibit.

anticipated that there may be over one hundred jetskis from Canada and the Northeast US.

All participants must possess a valid Safe Boating Certificate for operating a personal watercraft. All participants must wear a US Coast Guard approved personal floatation device. All riders will participate at their own risk. Neither the Clayton Lions Club, Lions International, nor any business, organization or government entity are responsible for the participant’s actions, accidents and/or injury should it occur.
